Resolution on the Extension of Mandate Committee on the Protection of the Rights of People Living with HIV (PLWHIV), and Those at Risk, Vulnerable to and Affected by HIV in Africa
During the 51st ordinary Session of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (the African Commission), held in Banjul, The Gambia from 18 April to 2 May 2012, the Commission agreed by resolution 220, to extend the mandate of the Committee for another term of two years with effect from 2 May 2012.
The Committee has a mandate to engage State Parties and non-state actors on their responsibilities to respect the rights of people living with HIV and those at risk.
