CLC's Statement to the African Commission on the Situation of Human Rights in South Africa
The 43rd Ordinary Session of the African Commission on Human and People's Rights took place in Swaziland, 7-22 May 2008.
As an organisation that enjoys observer status with the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights, CLC was represented at the 43rd Ordinary Session of the African Commission, 7- 15 May 2008, Ezulwini, Kingdom of Swaziland. During the public session on the ‘situation of human rights in Africa’, CLC’s representative made a statement on ‘the situation of human rights in South Africa’ which essentially raised issues of concern regarding South Africa’s non-compliance with its international and regional human rights obligations (click here for a copy of the statement).
