Various Occupants v Thubelisha Homes and Others

The Community Law Centre and the Centre on Housing Rights and Evictions intervened as amici curae in the residents of Joe Slovo case. The case was heard in the Constitutional Court on 21 August 2008.

This case concerned an appeal by the residents of Joe Slovo an informal settlement in Cape Town against a ruling by the High Court (Cape of Good Hope Provincial Division) granting their eviction to make way for formal housing as part of a government project.
