The feature article is on the release of General Comment No. 10 (Children's Rights in Juvenile Justice).

This is the first issue of Article 40 for 2007. Prof. Julia Sloth-Nielsen (Research Fellow, Children's Rights Project) discusses in depth the release of the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child's General Comment No. 10 on Children's Rights in Juvenile Justice.  This document sets out a guiding framework for States on how to implement and comply with the obligations contained in Article 37 and Article 40 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. This document highlights the need for a separate justice system for children.
