Five research papers on the Review of Local Government are available for download.
The Local Government Project completed
research on the review of local government, currently conducted by the
National Department of Provincial and Local Government. Five research
papers were produced and discussed at a Roundtable Conference on 5-7
March 2008. The project was funded by the Cultural Workshop and
Cultural Initiative Fund (CWCI) of the European Union. The research
deals with:
1. Powers of Local Government
2. Accountability in Local Government
3. Overregulation of Local Government
4. Intergovernmental Finance and
5. District Municipalities.
