Latest issue of the ESR Review is now available

This issue includes two features, one explores if the Sustainable Development Goals are human rights-based and the other looks at the link between fundamental, elementary, primary and basic education. There is also an insightful interview with Professor Sandra Liebenberg.

The first, written by Yuri Ramkissoon, revisits the discourse on the critical imperative of ensuring that the UN Sustainable Development Goals are human rights-based. In the second feature, Chiedza Simbo explores the link between fundamental, elementary, primary and basic   education. These articles are followed by an interview with Professor Sandra Liebenberg (H.F. Oppenheimer Chair in Human Rights Law, University of Stellenbosch, Co-Director of the Faculty’s Socio-Economic Rights and Administrative Justice Research Project), who was recently elected as a member of the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (CESCR) (2017-2020).
