DOI Doctoral researcher receives postgraduate degree

Henry Paul Gichana Omboto, doctoral researcher at the SARChl Chair in Multilevel Government, Law and Development, Dullah Omar Institute, University of the Western Cape, graduated with a PhD.

His thesis titled ‘Intergovernmental fiscal systems and self-rule: A Kenyan case study’ focuses on the conferment of self-rule or autonomy to subnational governments is incomplete without the corresponding conferment of the financial means and discretion necessary to facilitate the exercise of such autonomy.
