Conference promises accessibility with new media

The Constitution-Building Conference in Africa conference is expected to be interactive and be easily accessible even to those who will not be able come to the event with social media and other communication tools. Part of this action-packed and insightful event will be broadcast live on UStream. There will also be a YouTube video to give a glimpse of the proceedings of the event. Social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook will leverage interaction about this event.

People who are not able to attend the event will be given a glimpse of the exciting panel of high profile speakers taking place during the conference. This is expected to spark a conversation on the process of constitution making and implementation at 1330hrs-UTC (1230hrs-GMT). If they are interested in this event they are encouraged to visit http://www.ustream.tv/search?q=ConstitutionAfrica. They are also encouraged to post their questions which will be answered during the event.

To be part of the conversation, attendees as well as those who are not able to attend should follow the event’s Hashtag #ConstitutionAfrica on Twitter as well as Facebook and share their views as well as the proceedings of the event. They are also encouraged to follow @UWC_CLC and like our Facebook Page: Community Law Centre to get more about the event before, during and after the event.

Delegates are also encouraged to visit our website to read more on the proceedings of the event. There will be audio recordings of the sessions just in case delegates miss some sessions because most of these are parallel. After the event delegates can go back and access these recordings. There will also be a YouTube video produced at the end of the conference to summarise the proceeding of this event.
The conference, taking place on 6 September, aims to provide a platform for the critical engagement with current and past constitution-building processes on the continent, drawing on the comparative experience of academics and practitioners.

The plenary armchair session will be broadcast live HERE on the day of the conference at 1330hrs-UTC (1230hrs-GMT). Please visit our website, follow @UWC_CLC and like our Facebook Page: Community Law Centre, to follow the proceedings of the conference.
