Assoc Prof Robert Doya Nanima

Research Fellow

Dr Nanima is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law at the University of the Western Cape, Cape Town, South Africa. He lectures the Law of Evidence, Constitutional Justice, International Anti-Corruption Law, and Punishment and Sentencing. He also serves as a member of the African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child and a Special Rapporteur on Children affected by armed conflict. He remains attached as a researcher with the Dullah Omar Institute, African Centre for Transnational Criminal Justice. He is a resource person on matters of children and armed conflict at various national and international fora. Before joining academia, he served as a State Attorney with the Directorate of Public Prosecutions, Uganda from 2008 to 2014. He has published several articles in accredited national and international journals and presented papers at both national and international conferences.
