Prof Jose Frantz

She joined the University of the Western Cape in 1996 as a lecturer and is currently Professor in the Department of Physiotherapy. She obtained her doctoral degree in 2005 from the Department of Physiotherapy, University of the Western Cape and, at the time, was the first black female researcher to obtain a PhD from this department. Frantz headed the department for 3 years and is currently the Deputy Dean of Research in the Faculty of Community and Health Sciences.
