Centre for Human Rights and Rehabilitation (CHRR)

The Centre for Human Rights and Rehabilitation (CHRR) operates a Paralegal clinic that is aimed at providing small scale legal advice and remedy to members of community that it operates in.

The Centre for Human Rights and Rehabilitation (CHRR) provides legal advice on cases which involve people who feel that their human rights have been violated in one way or the other. The services are offered for free.

Ccases handled range from gender-based Violence, labour, immigrations issues, political violence, and land disputes.

CHRR through its paralegal clinic helped relatives of people who died as a result of police action during the aftermath of the 2004 General elections. Through the courts, CHRR hired lawyers that represented the relatives of the deceased. The government through the courts compensated them.

As indicated above that this clinic offer free legal services and has so far benefited a lot of poor people who can not afford a lawyer to represent them in the court of law.
