Henry Paul Gichana

Doctoral Researcher

Gichana  is currently reading towards a PhD in law under the SARChI Chair in Multilevel Government, Law and Policy at the Dullah Omar Institute, University of the Western Cape. His doctoral research focuses on intergovernmental fiscal systems and self-rule with a focus on Kenya. He is also an advocate of the High Court of Kenya having received his degree in law from Kenyatta University and subsequently obtained a postgraduate diploma from the Kenya School of Law. Henry served as a legal assistant at Kenya's Capital Markets Authority and Katiba Institute prior to joining Kaplan & Stratton Advocates for his pupillage. He received his LLM in Human Rights and Democratization in Africa from the University of Pretoria.
