Janelle Mangwanda

Researcher

Janelle Mangwanda is a researcher at ACJR and joined the team in January 2019. Prior to joining the team, she worked as a Research Assistant at the national Department of Public Enterprises where she dealt with socio-economic issues. She has also worked as a Research Intern at the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) under the Africa Institute of South Africa programme wherein she was involved in a number of projects. Janelle attended a number of Advanced Human Rights short courses offered by the Centre for Human Rights at the University of Pretoria; and has also completed a number of online courses focusing on human rights issues. In addition, she has participated and presented at a number conferences and seminars. Janelle holds a Master of Arts (MA) degree in International Relations from the University of Pretoria, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (Honours degree) in International Relations and a Bachelor of Political Sciences (International Studies) degree from the same university.
